I found these while browsing through some forums. They were posted by Buzzcard. I thought they'd be nice in here. ~S~ And Buzzcard, I'm sorry but I did have to edit a couple of words. But I do have the posts saved EXACTLY the way you typed them and if anyone can't figure out what those "words" were, well, ~shrugging~ not much I can do for them then.
Hey...I know I'm dreaming but those kids smiled again. Their mothers lifted off their burqa's for a while..they smiled.

The radio station came back on for the first time in six years...Radio Station? The thing we used to play old music on...like Elvis and the Beatles..stuff like that.
So why are you are smiling?
Cos we've been freed by our friends from the USA and their friends.

To those opposed to our freedom of children I say this: try it or shut the [censored] up...whilst respecting the death of a couple of hundred of our people......all I can say is:thank you.
In Kabul children are smiling again. Women are feeling a sense of importance instead of being treated like dogs. They turned on the local radio station for the first time in 5 years, they opened the cinema. They laughed in public without being shot dead.
One would expect an argument from the lunatic, American-hating Blind, but that aside thank God for such joyous events over in Afghanistan. Long may it last.
